I'd recommend not trying any special diet or food schedule, because mostly they are time limited and don't work in long-term. Concerning that drinking thing, that's just a matter of getting used to it; you can try fruit- or spice tea, they are usually sweeter than herbal or black tea without sugar.
Concerning food I generally recommend a lot of fruits and veggies, regular meals and definitely prefer wholemeal bread and noodles. And prefer as much as you can yourself, that's more healthy and cheaper. If you eat too much, gradually cut down the amount, and try to eat as much different food as you can. The WeightWatchers programme is a pretty good way to be taught about good nourishment or to cook their recipes.

EDIT: Because I saw it's about complex sugars in your comment above, that's what's the difference between wholemeal stuff and white bread or something.

I've tried fruit flavored tea but they were still way too bitter for my taste and more often than not I'd take two sips and leave it standing till it got cold and tasteless and in the end threw it away
I generally don't drink a lot on a day (like maybe three or four glasses at max)

As for fruits, do you have any recommendations?
I don't like anything except green apples and banana's mostly, but then again I've also heard that banana's aren't even that good for you anyway so idk ff

And yea the cutting the amount down shouldn't be a problem since I don't really eat anything except maybe a sandwich and dinner on a day

I'll have to see about the WW thing yea, my sister used to do it and she lost a lot of weight with it but in the end she decided it was bull and went on full 'only salads and the tablets that make you shit alot' 'diet' of hers
I think they used to have this point schedule thing where something was worth a certain amount of points and you can only have a certain amount per day or something? I might check it out but then again, I don't eat a lot so I don't think I can even get to the max amount of points per day lmfao
I'll be suprised if I can even get past 1000 calories a day of the recommended 2000 for women I think

I actually think bananas are fine because they make you feel more saturated than other fruits, and eating a banana as a snack is always better than chocolate or stuff. I personally love mangos and oranges if they're really ripe, but I'd really recommend that you try a lot different stuff, you'll certainly find something you like.

Well maybe your sister lost even more weight with that diet but it certainly isn't healthy. Note that there's a difference between a healthy nourishment and a diet that makes you lose weight. The thing is, that eating too less a day isn't healthy either (ask me that's the problem I'm dealing with right now). So this point system also could give you a hint if you're eating too less. But the membership costs something (I don't know how much but the online membership is alright I guess) but there are still the recipe books and stuff. A friend of mine tried the online membership for three month to learn the system and then quit again. But honestly maybe you should start eating more, not less.

ah haha
well not sure
I usually got told that they contained a lot of sugars or such still?? idk haha
in any case, they're okay and healthy but not when you eat them like everyday or twice a day or something?? idk haha
I like peaches as in peach flavoured drinks but idk if I like it like...raw ish?
same as to how I like tomato soup but dont like tomatoes
uvu''

Yea I know it's not healthy haha
my friend is currently doing the same thing ish, but just living off of crackers and chicken <>
I was thinking of doing something like a sandwich with brown bread or w/e its called in the morning, and then maybe an apple or something at noon and then a salad dinner with cold cooked chicken and macaroni ish ?
also with these medication tablets that kinda decrease the 'hunger' feeling on a day ish and apparently also cleanse the body

and yea
I think if I eat less I'd be worse off cause my body would just continue to hold the little stuff that I do eat?
I already eat really little on a day so I really can't start eating less

Sorry I'm answering right now, was a little knocked out by a light cold. ^^ Anyway, I don't know about all the stuff in a banana but I don't think you need to worry about eating them too much, because I guess you actually eat way too less. I just can repeat my advice to try a lot of different stuff, maybe start with different kinds of apples? I also like kiwis if they're really ripe, oder grapes... If you don't like raw tomatoes but soup that's fine, just cook the soup yourself and don't take some instant food, that's just rubbish. Cooking your food yourself saves money and is way more healthier (I know I repeat myself but I can't stress enough what a difference that makes ^^).

Yeah eating too little probably isn't good to lose weight; latest when you start eating normal your body will keep every gram of fat he gets. But also its unhealthy; and to my mind health is way more important than weight. I think if you eat right your body will get to its very own individual ideal weight on its own. I personally prefer to have the warm meal at lunch but that sounds like a good start. :) Just make sure to try a lot different things and you will find something you like. If you want we can have a little chat about it in skype sometimes, because you seem to be at a point I have been like a year ago, and I guess I could help you avoid some of the trouble I had. ^^

No problem at all
I definitely eat (and drink) way too little yea
it's mostly because we don't have a lot of food in the house because of money issues and that I'm picky with food as well

And yea I know that cooking it self is better than instant and such yea, but on the other hand, like I said, I'm very picky with food so unless I know in advance that I'll like it, I probably won't eat it

I've been having a warm-ish meal for lunch the past month ish when I started working (they actually eat something warm at noon so)
but then again that has also been 'my breakfast' as well haha

Yeah well, I read your last journal entry and I figure the eating/drinking problem is just part of a greater problem, so maybe you should try and figure out a solution for this greater thing...

Yeah but that's the good thing about cooking it yourself, you can do it just the way you like it :) There must be some dishes you really like, right?

Well a proper meal for lunch seems like a good start. With some effort you should be able to make your eating schedule a lot better :) Maybe it would help to search some recipes online for things you'd like to eat? I've noticed that curiousity and appetite and pleasure are an important part about eating healthy.

Focus on eating more complex sugars and protein rather than simple sugars.  Vegetables are great as well, and fruit can be good but in moderation because there are a lot of simple sugars in fruit.

Protein is generally meat or nuts, the latter in either a raw form, or some such.  Spinach is a good source of protein as well.

Complex carbs are vegatables, whole grain breads, oatmeal, legumes, brown rice, wheat pasta, baked potatoes  and sweet potatoes.  Generally it is best to eat things that are not overly processed.

potatoes I absolutely cannot stand on its own but maybe if made in a specific way it could be good ??

(I had this potato thing once where it was filled with meat and peas ?? that sounds cool to do haha)

Vegetables are negetive calories, so eat lots of them. Unless your aim is to just eat healither, then it's a balance of meat and grains and fruits and vegetables and dairy. Just figure out what your body needs and go from there. And sunshine and fresh air help a lot, as does walking. Helps the food help you better. Even a mile or two a day is enough to help quite a bit. I was walking five miles a day at one point myself, which took only about an hour.

as for food itself, right now I have no balance at all haha
hence the poll
but yea I need to find out a good recipe/diet plan or w/e to look for what I need and such since I'm a picky eater and can't eat a lot of different stuff without feeling sick afterwards <>

except that they replace sugars with fats and other food from food pyramid ? from what I understand anyway haha

Do you have any sites of it that I can read through that have a more 'planning' or something to it?

Oh oh ohhhh!!! 8DDD I got somethin for ya~<333
Eat a lot of vegetables and fruits, and less meat, because they have more energy~!! Also, yes, drink about 3-4 large bottles of water a day in total, because it cleans the body. C:
Also, healthy exercise is good, enjoy a good 10 minute walk a day at least, nothing strenuous, more relaxing!! <333

I also don't drink a lot haha, and I absolutely can not bear water
I literally gag when I drink water it makes it so problematic

and exercise i'm doing ish is cycling to and from work for now until I get my license and a 15-30 minute walk with the dog every evening

Really depends on whether or not you want true "dieting" tips or "healthy lifestyle" tips. Dieting is fine and great and all, but I think it has become more of a money-making fad for these diet program companies.

The best way to maintain your peak health and overall wellness is not to diet, but to change your lifestyle into that of a healthy one. The hardest part for me is maintaining, not necessarily a rigorous routine, but a consistent routine.

For me, I had to start small and take gradual steps. If you can jump right into it, more power to ya and I encourage you to do so. But for me, I had to take small steps. I swapped out my usual junk snack with fresh fruit, and even that itself made a noticeable difference for me, I just felt better. I am still in the process of trying to cut out soda as much as possible, if not entirely. That right there will be a HUGE accomplishment.

Another problem I ran into is that I don't like a lot of fruit, just like straight up raw fruit and veggies. So, I made it fun. I regularly make fruit smoothies whenever I have a hankering for soda or something else sweet. I blend frozen strawberries together with one or two bananas, and finish it off with frozen blueberries. Gotta add some water in there because it will be too thick to drink, but that's it. No added sugar needed and it tastes AWESOME. It has practically replaced soda for me. The kicker is that I flipping hate blueberries, but I'll drink that daily.

As for "food" food, try switching out red meats like beef and pork to fish or poultry. They're a lot leaner and overall better for you. I probably don't have to tell you all of the potential ways to cook chicken. Eating red meats is still a-okay, but if you're like most people (and me) red meat comprises waaay too much of your meat intake. If you can, cutting down on dairy will help you feel better (and lose weight if that's what you're after) too. The awesome thing about it is that you don't have to cut these things out completely, you just have to manage their portions (WHICH FOR ME IS THE WHOLE DAMN PROBLEM, LOL).

If you're looking more for actual recipes, I'd love to hook you up with some of my household's favorites! Or, if there's something you particularly like, I'm sure I can help find recipes that incorporate it :D

Lastly, if you have the option to steam your veggies, STEAM THEM for maximum nutritional value. The only thing better for your than a steamed veggie is a raw veggie.

EDIT: Sorry for the novel BUT ALSO; if water is not your friend, eat as much watermelon as humanly possible. You won't be thirsty and it's a nice, sweet snack!

Well at the moment I just really need to change my current eating lifestyle for a couple of months till I lost about 30-40 kg which is 88lbs I think
when I have accomplished that, I can apply for a surgery that I've been wanting for quite some time
after that I can ease it up a little again and start doing some more fattening stuff or something idk it depends on how I'd feel at the time

in any case, I need to lose 88lbs in around 9-10 months and then apply for the surgery stuff and etc

And yess that sounds good for a mostly replacement for soda
tbh I don't think I can live without the bubbly sweet taste of soda <3 So I'll have to lessen it by maybe 1 glass ish a day and the rest the fruit stuff
it does sound good what you mentioned tho

as for the meat, the only meat I really eat is chicken because I don't have a taste for the others
this actually caused my vitamin d to drop dramatically and is according to my doctor the reason why I went into depression lmfao so I do need to eat more of all kinds of meat
aaand the only way I get dairy is through cheese which I dont eat a lot either uvu'

Give me some recipes yea! I'd love some uvu

and we do steam most of the veggies I think
again, I don't eat a lot lmfao
I'm a picky eater

and ohh that sounds good actually
would this apply only to watermelon? because I don't like watermelon, but I do like this other type of melon thats green on the inside uvu''

well in terms of food and diets you should only have an extra 100 calories per day
so drink diet/suagar free versions of drinks you like and check recommended portions
of sweets on the packet, along with how many calories a number of sweets is worth

if it says something like '1/2 of this chocolate bar is 60 kcal' that is usually a portion
even if under 100 calories you should stick to the recommendation

also for things like pasta, 2.oz/ounces should be the most you weigh out
as the water will increase the weight

and if eating snacks go for things like unsalted nachos/tortilla chips and salsa
cause salsa is mucho healthy (pun intended)

if you want to ask me about anything i'll ask my gran cause she handles my diet sheets

I think I barely get past 1000 calories a day tho lmfao
when the recommended is like 2000 for adult women I think

for me its more of a 'gotta control the fats and sugars' than the actual calories if that makes sense?

yep it does make sense

like i said just check the recommended portions of sweets
and you should be fine

also cut back on sweets every day and if you have the willpower
don't eat any in the week and pig out a bit on sunday

the only sugars I really get are from this cheap supermarket brand coke that I maybe drink two or three glasses a day from
I don't eat a lot nor do I drink a lot so hence why I need tips because idk what to do other than excersize but I can't do that right now or at least for now until I can get a subscription on the gym

Well my brother has high cholesterol and has had it since he was around 4 years old so if you need to diet you could pretend you have high cholesterol and live by my brother's meal plan? XD And I swear you would probably lose weight since he can only have around 17 grams of saturated fat max in a day... So my mother allows him like 5g of saturated fat XD Anything like chips or peanut butter than has more than 2g of saturated fat in a serving he isn't allowed to eat XD But he is happy with his food, just isn't happy with how he can't eat as much chocolate as before rofl

Alright lol

Well like I said, he isn't allowed by my mother to eat anything with more than 2.5 grams of saturated fat. So he gets this brand of peanut butter called "Teddie" and it is this, and I state it on the jar, "Old Fashioned All Natural Peanut Butter" XD But nothing is really too different except a little less sodium, less sat. fats, more fiber and less sugar and protein. He can't have red meats, but since he is a skinny little shit he has to eat red meat at least once a month XD When we have meatballs, hamburgers, meatloaf, etc that you would usually use beef for, my mom instead buys 80% lean beef or chicken. Turkey works too since we can't always find chicken lol We eat at least SOMETHING for a vegetable at night except potatoes because my mom thinks potatoes aren't good enough to be labelled as the dinner vegetable :I But he drinks water and skim milk, he LOVES drinking white cranberry juice and we have salad a couple dinners a week. Ask me if you want or need to know anymore, I can fucking list you shit he eats XDD

Well usually she buys these bags that has a mixture already in them but I will tell you what my nana puts in hers? ^^ My papa has a garden in his backyard so he makes salads with his home grown iceberg lettuce, romaine hearts, carrots, tomatoes, cucumber, and then just uses some feta cheese and a dressing or vinaigrette ^^ Whatever you prefer on top of yours :) Croutons work too, they are soooo fucking good and crunchy XD
